Wowee! Gorgeous, gorgeous face. You did such a good job with the facial androgny, masterful! I love that you can see the subtle peach fuzz on her cheeks that most dark haired women get, you can only see that in the right light and it's so cool to see something that realistic and natural reflected in a piece of art. I also like how you made her ear look like it was semi translucent and thinner where the light hits it from behind. How cool!
Thanks! I'm not yet very well adapted in the field of painting man or androgynous people, so it was rather hard for me to paint this portrait, but your painting of Bregga in particular helped me with understanding of what i want to see as a result, not just a masculine looking woman, or someone who resembles a man but has some feminine featuires, but something more subtle and complex, a person of her own, i hope i achieved this goal at least partially also pardon my engrish
She looks awesome in this picture! I love the frank stare and the beautiful lighting and skin texture. The portrait's look reminds me a bit of Dragon Age Origins but much, much nicer.
I can't believe how amazing you are at skin and hair texture, and I think the scars are subtle and lovely.
I also think you balanced her appearance as a woman and as a warrior well. She looks more traditionally feminine than most renditions of her that I have seen, but it meshes well. She's a woman who lived without much adornment and believed in faith through earnesty and you captured that well.
She actually reminds me a lot of one of our instructors in Veterinary School and that makes me laugh.
This is really really lovely and I'm super happy with it.
Thanks! I haven't played any of the DA games, but i'm very proud of the comparison. I'm really glad that you find my rendition of her fitting, i enjoyed painting this picture and in the same time it has been the most challenging request so far. Also, the fact that you find similarity between her appearance and your teacher's is pretty awesome) Thanks for your request!
